By 2004 the former Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge and Restaurant became a seniors community called the Sterling Crest Apartments and RV park, and featured a heated pool, sauna, handicap apts., full service restaurant, activities, and 13 shaded pull-through RV spaces. The former Restaurant was used as a gathering place by the community and may have been open to the public.
