Like
the other seven or so other complexes opened in California during
1969, the Santa Maria Motor Lodge and Restaurant shared design and
architectural elements like the signature A-frame Gate Lodge and
West-style restaurant. Moreover the guest buildings employed standard
amenities and had sliders with abbreviated patios and balconies.

By the middle 2000s the Motor Lodge had become a Comfort
Inn
and the Restaurant an International House of Pancakes. |

both the Gate Lodge and Restaurant structures survived until at
least the middle 2000s, the Gate Lodge had been considerably. |
