When built, the Lodge was part of a $17 million, four acre complex which also included an athletic center with a pool, a hydro-thermal, jogging track, handball courts and exercise room, and a preventative cardiology center. The building seen above to the right of the former Howard Johnson's was also a part of the complex. It is a ten-story office tower that opened in June of 1975. The project was said to be "a totally planned business community for the executive traveler.

The former Howard Johnson's Denver-Airport survives today (2004) as a Radisson Hotel sans the airport.
