Plainville, Connecticut -- 5 Farmington Ave

Serving hungry Americans by early 1965, the Plainville Howard Johnson's restaurant lasted ten years as a traditional Orange Roof Restaurant. Converted into HoJo's Ground Round concept, the site enjoyed successful operation until the early 2000s. By 2002 the Ground Round had closed an the modern "Nims-type" Howard Johnson's building had been demolished without a trace.
