Venditti discovered that Newark's interior was thankfully
virtually untouched! He said that the "rooms and hallways
(were) in good shape," and added that "the split-level
nature of the interior corridors can be confusing, depending
on which door you enter from." He noted also that "the
heavy-handed exterior remod was causing damage to the room's
balcony roof, as it was noticeably blocking rain drainage,
with ceiling rot as a result." |
