Bob Venditti discovered that Newark's interior was thankfully virtually untouched! He said that the "rooms and hallways (were) in good shape," and added that "the split-level nature of the interior corridors can be confusing, depending on which door you enter from." He noted also that "the heavy-handed exterior remod was causing damage to the room's balcony roof, as it was noticeably blocking rain drainage, with ceiling rot as a result."
