Future Past
 The bright future predicted by the vibrant roadside architecture of the middle 20th century nearly arrived. For a short time we believed that it had, for every time we patronized a Howard Johnson's it felt as if we had entered that future--Under the Orange Roof with its rocket ship like cupola!
