Saguaro Cactus Sign?
The recycled HoJo's Roof-logo type sign endured many changes -- including sprouting the limbs of a cactus, only to have them chopped off later!

When it opened in late 1965 or early 1966, the Hollywood Restaurant was among the first group of "T" styles -- a design based on prototypes in Dallas, Atlanta and Miami. The Restaurant was separate from the Motor Lodge and featured street frontage along Hollywood Blvd.

Since losing its status as a Howard Johnson's, the Restaurant has served as host to a succession of ethnic eateries -- Cuban, Japanese, Mexican, and Bulgarian.

Remarkably the Restaurant's interior looked refreshingly pleasant, and incredibly included a bar where the Dairy Counter had once been! Also note that the original copper hood and open vaulted ceiling were still extant.
