View from on High
Its unusual White Roof was painted IHOP blue -- at least the portion seen from the street. Initially the Restaurant featured a standard spire type of cupola topped with a Simple Simon and the Pieman weather vane, but in the 1970s it was beaconized.

Usually when the Restaurants ceased being HoJo's the cupolas were removed, so it was remarkable that Miami Beach retained its Beacon throughout its days as an IHOP.
