Its unusual White Roof was painted IHOP blue -- at least the
portion seen from the street. Initially the Restaurant featured
a standard spire type of cupola topped with a Simple Simon
and the Pieman weather vane, but in the 1970s it was beaconized.
Usually
when the Restaurants ceased being HoJo's the cupolas were
removed, so it was remarkable that Miami Beach retained its
Beacon throughout its days as an IHOP. |
