Mark Ihrie reported that after it was a Restaurant, the building had been used as a tourist "information center."
 
 

The gutted Restaurant featured the LAST extant spire cupola complete with its Simple Simon and the Pieman weathervane.

However the cupola was damaged and nearly blown off the roof by a 2004 hurricane.

Unfortunately the former Motor Lodge's owner had still not decided to right the nearly toppled Restaurant cupola by the first half of 2006. However he had destroyed the HoJo-stone facade by painting it an un-colorful beige.
