Erlanger's
Howard Johnson's complex was sited to serve the Greater Cincinnati
Airport.
The property was opened in 1974 at an exit of I-75 & 71 near
where Cincinnati's loop, I-275, was proposed to be constructed.
While it offered a Mansard Restaurant, the site did not have a Mansard
Lobby--instead the lobby was in-the-building. As a mid-rise, it
was considered more upscale, and the Motor Lodge remained branded
as Howard Johnson's until 1989. Following its HoJo's days it became
a Comfort
Inn.
