I lament the passing
of an old friend. As the sun set on December 10, 2003 a little
more than 33 years since it first did on this Howard Johnson's,
it has set upon it for the last time...
Heavy machinery is poised
to finish the extermination of an American Icon. We hastily cast
aside everything that might remind us of where we have been at
the expense of creating anything that might ground us with lasting
value--all for a quick buck to line the pockets of those people
who need no more lining
PROGRESS does not mean things will be better--only that time
will pass and things will CHANGE
