Like the Shreveport Motor
Lodge, Lake Charles became a Richmond Inn and Suites Best Western.
Opened only a little later than its North Louisiana sister, it
featured an updated design. Introduced in Florida, the new and
improved Restaurant building replaced the Nims or Ranch type
building. |

When Phil visited
the site in 2003, it featured both altered and unaltered exteriors
on the guest buildings. The one below houses "suites,"
complete with fireplaces. Building 'C' seen above, still had
its original railings. |
