New
Orleans-Airport, Louisiana -- 6401
Veterans Blvd
AKA West |
|
Usually
billed as an airport property, the site is actually more than five
miles from the New Orleans airport. With seven floors, some 230
guest rooms, and in-the-building lobby, the exceptionally modern
facility opened in the winter of 1971.
The
Motor Lodge was a Howard Johnson's until 1991 and was then converted
into a Holiday Inn. By the early 2000s the property was converted
again becoming a Four
Points by Sheraton.
