After
having lost its lease in life as an eatery, the old HoJo's sat
vacant or a number of years. By 1999 its "roof-logo"
sign had lost its faces, but by 2002 had been covered with a banner
proclaiming that the site would soon host the National Marine
Underwriters. However Phil Edwards found the banner to have been
changed by his first 2003 visit, and indicated that a dermatology
office would arrive soon. Then In December of the same year, Phil
paid the site another visit only to discover that the 49 year-old
Restaurant building's demolition had begun. |
