Salisbury, Maryland -- 2408 N. Salisbury Blvd (U.S. 13 Ocean Hwy.)

One of the first three Motor Lodge and Restaurant complexes in Maryland, the Lodge was opened in 1959 and the Restaurant in 1956. Howard Johnson directories indicate that the Lodge lasted into the 1990s as a Howard Johnson. However nothing of the 56 unit ground level Motor Lodge remained by the 2000s.

Converted into an Italian eatery, the Restaurant was doing business as Zia's Pastaria in 2005. A website with a 2000 copyright shows that parts of the interior retained some of the Restaurant's Howard Johnson's features.
