After the Howard B. Johnson
sold the Company and retired, Michael G. Hostage became chairman.
In a desperate attempt to please HoJo's British parent, Hostage
determined to eliminate ALL the orange roofs and convert
them to other concepts. Bumbershoots was but one of many such
concepts which were all bumbles.
