The Onset Howard Johnson's was likely a seasonal stand when it first opened in the 1930s. Unfortunately its exact location is unknown. Nonetheless even as its original structure is likely long gone, its Simple Simon and the Pieman weathervane had found new use atop a local Onset eatery called the Lobster Cottage.

While on the first HoJopalooza in 2001, the vintage and well worn weathervane was spotted after a fruitless search for the Onset Restaurant.
