Spread
out for maximum visual effect alongside the roadside, the
classic Benton Harbor Motor Lodge and Restaurant complex was
opened in 1962. |

"On
the site of a fragrant fruit orchard is our spacious 120 room
motor lodge. A variety of fruit trees provide succulent fruit
in season for our guests. Convenient to every room is the
fully enclosed all-year pool, easily reached through interior
corridors." |

After
having been rebranded as a Days Inn, the former Motor Lodge stepped
further downscale as a Rodeway Inn and may have operated as Cosmo
Extended Stay Motel and perhaps was called Economy Inn for a period
of time too. By the middle 2010s the site is believed to have been
shuttered and its A-frame Gate Lodge had been leveled. |

The
Motor Lodge featured an incredible indoor swimming pool. The pool
building offered incredible views of the Interstate though its
huge windows! |
