Flint-East -- 932 S Center Rd

The Flint-East Motor Lodge Complex was set to open in the Spring of 1970. The former Motor Lodge endured a succession of brand affiliations following the demise of the Famed Orange Roofed chain. It flew the banners of Travelodge, Econo Lodge, Budget Host, Best Inn, and perhaps others.

Long past its glory days the Complex was abandoned by the middle 2010s and ultimately demolished.

Most Motor Lodges featured a location kiosk with an Orange phone used by patrons to make free reservations for the next HoJo's.
The Rapid Reservation Service, as it was dubbed, was innovative during the 1960s, for in that past era long distance calls were costly and toll free numbers had not yet become common.

Flint-East's Restaurant became a 24 hour operation and featured an upscale Red Coach Grill like interior. Near the end of its days it became a night club called After Shock.
