Set
to open in 1960 along I-75's predecessor Hwy. U.S. 23, no trace
of this Howard Johnson's remains. Bobby Peacock reported that
its site became occupied by an Applebees, Don Pablo's, Lone Star
Steakhouse, and a Speedway convenience store.

Motor Lodge was enlarged and converted into Mr. Gibby's Best
Western in the 1980s, and later operated as a Quality Inn before
it was ultimately obliterated. |
