-- 35 28th St SW |
A
classic Motor Lodge complex, Grand Rapids-West was opened in late
1964.
Following
its Orange Roofed days the property was rebranded several times.

an America's Best Inn. During 2016 it was being advertised as

The
original Nims type Restaurant likely suffered a fatal fire in the
late 1970s or early '80s and was replaced with the non-standard
Mansard.
Below:
Outfitted with classic Landmark Supply Company roll back booths
and Railroad Lantern lights over the counter, the Restaurant's interior
remained little changed some twenty years following Howard Johnson's
demise. |
