Battle Creek -- 2590 Capital Ave SW

The Battle Creek Motor Lodge and Restaurant complex opened in about 1962. By the middle 2000s the Motor Lodge had been greatly altered and was branded as a Comfort Inn and was later rebranded as a Quality Inn.

Following the demise of the Howard Johnson Company in 1985, the Restaurant was recycled into a Sizzler, Gary Fields Comedy Club and Bloopers Sports Bar & Grill, and Old China Super Buffet.

Kalamazoo
 
 
Kalamazoo -- 1912 E Kilgore Rd
Heavily remodeled, Kalamazoo's Motor Lodge became a Country Inn & Suites. The Restaurant was last known as the Propeller Club but is no longer at the site.
 
 
 
 
 

Lansing
 
 
Lansing -- 6741 Cedar St
Opened in August of 1966, the Motor Lodge was once part of Leona Helmsley's hospitality empire. It flew the Howard Johnson's banner until about 1997 and was then converted into a Ramada. By the middle 2000s no trace of the complex remained for a Lowe's came to occupy is former space.
 
 
 

Port Huron

The Port Huron Motor Lodge was opened in 1959 and was non-standard. By the 2000s it was operating as a Days Inn.
