Battle Creek Motor Lodge and Restaurant complex opened in about
1962. By the middle 2000s the Motor Lodge had been greatly altered
and was branded as a Comfort Inn and was later rebranded as a
Quality Inn.

Following
the demise of the Howard Johnson Company in 1985, the Restaurant
was recycled into a Sizzler ,
Gary Fields Comedy Club and Bloopers Sports Bar & Grill, and
Old China Super Buffet. |

Helmsley's
hospitality empire. It flew the Howard Johnson's banner until about
1997 and was then converted into a Ramada. By the middle 2000s no
trace of the complex remained for a Lowe's came to occupy is former
space. |
