Having been mostly gutted by the tsunami-like storm surge of Hurricane Katrina, the former Restaurant's bathroom plumbing was washed away leaving broken pipes to spew water like a mini geyser some four months post Katrina?! The one-time HoJo's Restaurant suffered catastrophic damage, while the main Motor Lodge structure remained reasonably intact. However in the end the entire property was razed. |
