With
its Mansard lobby and attached Mansard "T-type" Restaurant
the Hampton Ave. Howard Johnson's complex was open in 1974 along
a then relatively new stretch of I-44. The high rise featured 122
guest rooms in its seven floors. It was converted into a lightly
altered Holiday Inn which was renovated in 2000. |
