Portsmouth Howard Johnson's Restaurant was "up-and-moved"
when U.S. 1 was realigned, and then it was resituated at the then
newly constructed rotary. Archival photos of the restaurant being
moved were offered for sale on eBay in the late 1990s. |

Hazel Woods, pictured to the left at a party at the opening
of a restaurant in Quincy, owned or was a partner in the
Portsmouth restaurant and also another in Maine. |
