Bob Venditti wrote the following comments about his 2004 stop at Tom's River:

"Not overly remodeled, and it retains the natural brick in many places. Very clean and comfortable, well-kept. How good it was to see the wide-open green lawn and chairs on patios. The pool is enclosed. The restaurant was very busy...A very nice place."

Note the "sanitized for your protection" band across the toilet seat. Once upon a time ALL Howard Johnson's Motor Lodges proclaimed their toilet seats to be clean and germ free!
