Ithaca's
Motor Lodge and Restaurant opened in the Winter of 1964. Located
in a roadside commercial district and not too far from Cornell
University with its famed hospitality school, nothing remains
of the Howard Johnson's. Observer Matthew Willis noted that
"the motor lodge stood vacant for some time, before it
was finally razed (circa 2001) and replaced by a Tops Supermarket
and a strip plaza anchored by an Applebee's." |
