East Greenbush was a
very early Restaurant--likely opening in 1937 or '38. Based on
the postcard, the Dairy Counter was on the left side of the main
part of the building. The wing on the right was probably a later
addition providing added dining room space as business grew. |

Having survived
as a Howard Johnson's until nearly the end of the 1970s, it was
later converted into a Weathervane Seafood Restaurant (http://www.weathervaneseafoods.com) which
served many food items similar to those offered by HoJo's.
Back in 2002, the interior
still featured Howard Johnson's original beams in the ceiling,
but the rest of the Restaurant had been extensively renovated.
