Opened in the 1940s after
WWII, the Hyde Park Howard Johnson's Restaurant was located directly
across from the entrance to the Roosevelt estate (http://www.nps.gov/hofr/home.htm). It remained a HoJo's until the Howard
Johnson Corporation's demise in the mid 1980s.
Built in the "colonial"
style, the building today appears completely altered and unrecognizable
as having been a Howard Johnson's.

Mr. Thomas found
that original light standards still stand in the former HoJo's
parking lot. |

Covering all sides, Jack
got some shots from the back which perhaps remind us that the
restaurant was once a Howard Johnson's. |
