Mr. Russo discovered that the Restaurant was not in Saratoga Springs proper, but was instead in Malta. He speculated that it did not use the Malta name since it was not well known like Saratoga Springs. In speaking with historians and other people who recalled the Howard Johnson's, Steven was able to determine that the Restaurant was demolished when I-87 was built, and that it had been located on the north side of the current interchange--just about where the exit is shown in the top picture.

In seeking out the old HoJo's, Steven found that many people he contacted fondly recalled eating and working under the Orange Roof! Even the town historian of Malta had a HoJo's tail--she had been a Johnson Girl at Glens Falls for a summer and had great memories of her time spent there.
