Greensboro-North -- 3931 Statesville Ave

An early, but typical standardized location, Greensboro-North opened in about 1961 along U.S. 29 bypass--an excellent location for a Motor Lodge and Restaurant because the highway had also been designated as I-85.

Note that the Simple Simon and the Pieman weathervane had been "airbrushed" out of the postcard shot when the blue sky was superimposed on the scene.

By Bob Venditti's quick visit, the former Restaurant had lost its designation as "The Club," and had received a fresh coat of paint.
