In 2005 Mr. Jones observed that the old HJ Restaurant had been sadly transformed into what can only be described as a strip club. Amazingly its Orange Roof still gleams pristinely.

Originally configured with only 42 guest rooms, an addition in the late 1960s or early 1970s bumped the total to 80.

 
 
 
 

After the Motor Lodge was closed, the original 42 room section and the Gate Lodge were demolished. The newer guest wing was prepped for demolition, but was still standing--gutted--as recently as 2005.

Alan Jones observed that a trucking company was utilizing the grounds of the former Motor Lodge.
