This early Motor Lodge/Restaurant
complex was opened in about 1961. It was situated on 10 acres
along I-90 at U.S. 20. The Motor Lodge consisted of "90
air conditioned guest rooms." In nearly its last guise it
may have served as a Ramada Inn before becoming the Envoy Inn
(aka Innvoy Inn) where a double murder at the site capped off
increasing criminal incidents. Purchased by the city of Euclid
in 1998, shortly after the murders for $1.025 million, the entire
site was razed to erase the past and to make way for unknown
new development. |
