Phil Edwards found
the interior to be amazingly preserved! Many original furnishings
and fixtures remained from the Restaurant's last remodeling which
likely took place in the early 1980s. While the Dairy Bar was
absent, it had likely been removed while the place was still
a Howard Johnson's. |

The "niche"
had been converted into a waiting area and part of the Dairy
Bar's former location had become the likely smoking section.
Although the ice cream flavor board is not one I recall from
a Howard Johnson's, it has room for 28 flavors! |
