Believed to be
the first of three Howard Johnson Company owned stores, it opened
in 1954 and was the second location in the Toledo area.
Its interior is the most
intact of the remaining Toledo Restaurants. But that isn't saying
too much. Really just the striped terrazzo floor is still extant,
and unfortunately the Simple Simon and the Pieman inset was removed.

In order to disguise
the Restaurant, very awkward "buttresses" were added
around the front of the building. |
