The Wooster Restaurant opened in 1954, and was owned by David Plank. According to Eric Paddon, the Plank family owned the Restaurant the entire time it was a Howard Johnson's. They dropped the franchise and renamed it, "Plank's Family Restaurant," and kept it open well into the 1980s. After selling the eatery, it was converted into a Chinese restaurant. By the time Phil found it, false dormers had been added to the Nims inspired building. It was apparently serving a new type of clientele as Club Bacchus.
