 Youngstown, Ohio
6123 Market St

Perhaps opened in the Summer of 1951, this Youngstown Restaurant was owned by Harry G. Barmeier. Seen above, Mr. Barmeier demonstrated his promotion of Company products. Three weeks prior to Halloween he created a special display of HoJo's candies promoting the notion that they could be used as Trick or Treat treats. The Restaurant dramatically increased its sales and had to place a special order for more candy from Howard Johnson's Cleveland commissary. From left to right are pictured: Ted Haspel, manager, Ida Brandt, and Ann Amy.
