| Sited to capture any motorists who continued to use the old highway (U.S. 301), but at its interchange with I-95, Manning was a classic Motor Lodge and Restaurant complex opened in the summer of 1968. On the large size, it boasted 80 guest rooms, and lasted as a Howard Johnson's complete with its Restaurant until 1987. |
