By Phil's visit in the summer of 2005, the former Howard Johnson's Restaurant which had been operating as the Oaks Restaurant since the middle 1980s was closed.

Converted into the Oaks Restaurant in the middle 1980s, the interior shown at left was just slightly dressed up from its last HoJo's makeover in the late 1970s.

Note the Landmark Supply Company original furnishings and fixtures and especially HJ's signature lattice encased multi-sided salad bar.
