This, the "Lookout Mtn.-Downtown" Howard
Johnson's, was the first Motor Lodge/Restaurant combination to
open in Chattanooga in late 1966.
It would appear form the extensive changes since
its HoJo's days that the Motor Lodge may have been a Days Inn
prior to its becoming a Ramada (both brands are also owned now
by Cendant).
