On Phil's trek of the Southwest he was able to stop and be a guest at El Paso. He noted that the Motor Lodge "was a real treat." It is becoming more and more difficult to find an actual Howard Johnson complete with its Cupola, Orange Roof, and Weather Vane!

Note the many original HoJo's room features like the grass cloth vinyl wall covering and the Pamper Panel. Photographs on www.hojo.com show the location's second floor rooms to have vaulted ceilings sans beams, and the bathrooms to have glass diamond-pattern shower doors!
