Long
ago now, the restaurant ceased being a Howard Johnson's. Its
Orange Roof having nearly completely bled through, it was
called Huachinango when Dave stopped to check out the place
in 2002. |

Perhaps
closed for a time, a banner proclaimed it to be "OPEN NOW"
on the Restaurant's side during Phil's visit. Note that its signs
had been altered since 2002 and no longer said Huachinango. |

By
2006 almost all of the paint had been stripped from the roof and
the Mexican-style eatery had been renamed La Terraza (more for
its attempt at a terrace-like setting than for any remnant of
terrazzo flooring). At any rate the interior had been recently
changed and the large satellite dish seen in the earlier photos
had been removed from the front of the building. |

Two
original Rum Keg Lounge signs remained at Southeast. However
both had been altered to indicate names that the Lounge had
carried over the years. |

Still
wearing its HoJo's stone facade and altered Rum Keg Lounge
sign, the Happy Days Lounge did a steady business.
Note
that most of its metal mansard had been painted brown since
2004 -- perhaps a more fitting color. |
