First
listed in Howard Johnson's 1965-'66 directory, this Restaurant didn't
make it past 1968. Remarkably Phil Edwards discovered its continued
existence when he made his pass through the Dallas area seeking
old HoJo's. Based on his pictures, the current restaurant is popular
as seen by its full parking lot. Notice also the advertising banner
for all-you-can-eat catfish--almost a HJ promotion! Phil also reported
that the interior was mostly original, and that as Barbec's, the
eatery is well known for its Beer Biscuits. |
