Located
near the Killington ski area, the Rutland Motor Lodge and Restaurant
opened in the late Spring of 1964 with 100 guest rooms, an outdoor
heated pool, and special accommodations for skiers.
By
the 1990's, the Motor Lodge was owned by Lawrence Owen Associates
of West Hartford, Conn. The firm was founded in 1984 and owned
five motels along with five "family style" restaurants.

Rutland
has seen the last of the Orange Roof. Changed over in 2002, the
Motor Lodge first became a Red Roof Inn and then by the middle 2010s
was rebranded as a Days
Inn. |
