Richmond, Virginia
-- 1157
Azalea Ave |
|
A
pre-World War II location, this Richmond Restaurant was adjacent
to the Henrico Auto Court and is believed to have opened in the
summer of 1941. It eventually outgrew the original building, and
a dining room wing was added in the late 1940s, or perhaps in the
'50s.

Above:
The Restaurant
was a HoJo's for a little more than twenty years. Converted by
1962 into Wright's Town House, Robby Delius unearthed an advertisement
for its reopening in the Richmond Times Dispatch.
Below:
Eventually the Restaurant was razed and a Walgreens came to occupy
the site.
