It was the real deal!

Decked out with its mid 1980s grass cloth or HJ 3354 Room Vinyl wall covering, Bob's single room retained its well designed Howard Johnson's authenticity.

 
 
 
 

Mr. Venditti wrote that his stay at Oshkosh was the best stop of his 2002 trip to the Badger State.

Still showing its Orange and waving the HJ flag, a friendly desk clerk informed Bob of sad news when he stopped by in 2005--the Oshkosh Howard Johnson was to be no more. After having celebrated forty years as an HJ Motor Lodge, the classic facility will be converted or worse. Not listed in Howard Johnson International's reservation system, the location still answered its phone as a Howard Johnson in early 2006, but indicated that it would soon drop its famous name...
