Phil Edwards declared
that "Colorado Springs is awesome." He also noted that
the interior of the Gate Lodge was mostly original too. However
problems loom based on his photo above. The ceiling clearly shows
signs of water damage. Once a leak develops, it is nearly impossible
to repair the Gate Lodge's roof without removing and replacing
the original porcelain enamel roof tiles with some other roofing
material. I fear that (if Cendant does not mandate it sooner)
the former Motor Lodge's owners will totally remodel the Gate
Lodge when they decide to repair the roof leaks. |
