When it opened in May
of 1965, this Denver Howard Johnson's marked a significant milestone
in HoJo's history, for it represented a link of Orange Roofs
from coast to coast.
With views of both the
Rockies and of Denver, guests of this large Motor Lodge once
enjoyed its beautiful setting.
The Motor Lodge was listed
as a Quality Inn, but most recently the property was called the
Hampden Lodge Denver Tech Center. Perhaps once affiliated with
the Quality Inn, the Restaurant, in its last guise, was called
Skillet's Restaurant & Lounge. The entire site has been razed.
