 Wilmington-Concord Pike, Delaware

Modified many times over the years, this location's cupola was replaced in the 1970s with the "Beacon" cupola shown above. The original cupola was similar to the one last seen at Kirkwood, Missouri.

Exercising Fair Use, I can now show what the remodeled Restaurant will likely look like thanks to John Boxmeyer. The architect seems to have been able to retain the look of the already altered building while allowing the new owners expanded capacity. Since the Restaurant was sold recently, new owners have made strides to improve both the menu and the building, but lets hope that they decide to keep the HJ name and not change it to Hollywood Grill as is being suggested by some observers.

UPDATE: Perhaps my earlier warnings to you were correct about the demise of this restaurant! I would advise you to patronize it soon--it's time is likely running out.
