Initially scheduled to open in the Fall of 1971, construction was delayed and the Mansard Manor didn't open until the summer of 1972. Originally faced with a Mansard of traditional porcelain enamel Orange Roof tiles, the property underwent a renovation which eliminated them in the 1990s. Not a bad look, the Mansard was clad in turquoise colored metal, but by 2005 it had been painted a bright red.
